DIY Canvas Painting

Inspired by a DIY canvas painting I saw on a blog I follow, I decided to try my hand at acrylic painting. Normally Craig is the creative one in this medium, but this pattern looked easy-enough for me. I started by ordering a large 3’x4′ canvas and acrylic paints online. I also picked up 1/4″ painters tape from the hardware store.

It took about three coats to get the deep blue color I was going for, but it turned out great! The blue brings out the blue in the rug in the living room, and really ties everything together.
